Display of a different image upon tilting
Technology overview
Regular stripes are seen from the front, but a different latent image appears when the printed material is tilted. The latent image is easy to identify visually and cannot be reproduced with a copying machine or an ordinary commercial printer. This technology is also effective in deterring computer-assisted counterfeiting.
Product examples
The basis of this technology is already used in Bank of Japan notes. This is a unique National Printing Bureau anti-counterfeiting method that combines state-of-the-art printing and traditional paper-making techniques.
