Basic Principle
The integrated Odawara Plant which manufactures paper and prints Bank of Japan notes as well as other products conducts its business activities in harmony with the environment at all stages of the process and maintains its goal of contributing to sustainability.
Environmental Action Guidelines
In order to realize core philosophy, the plant will build and operate an environmental management system and focus on the following issues:
1 Compliance with environmental laws, regulations and other stipulations.

2 Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
Reducing of energy consumption associated with operations and promoting initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by maximizing the use of renewable energy etc.
3 Reduction of resource consumption and waste
Reducing of resource consumption associated with operations and contributing to the realization of a recycling society by limiting resource consumption such as effective utilization of waste.
4 Environmental Conservation Enlightenment
In order to encourage voluntary environmental conservation effortsamong employees, promoting environmental awareness education programs for higher eco-awareness.
5 Active participation in social initiatives
Promoting SDGs initiatives related to environmental issues. In addition, publicizing the environmental activities of our plants to society and actively promote environmental activities in the community.
