Environmental Policy
Basic Principle
The integrated Odawara Plant manufactures paper and prints Bank of Japan notes as well as other products with focus on environmental friendliness and recycling. The facility supports decarbonized output based on awareness of local and global impacts, promoting harmony with the environment as a flagship National Printing Bureau plant.
Environmental Action Guidelines
In line with its basic philosophy and its medium-term/general operation plan, the plant runs a management system to improve environmental performance. Focus is placed on ongoing system improvement, including:
(1) Compliance with environmental laws, regulations and other stipulations.
(2) Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
(3) Reduction of resource consumption and waste.
(4) Use of renewable energy.
(5) Active efforts to promote environmental awareness among all employees.
(6) Various environmentally friendly operation.
